 Hi parents,

We had another great day today. I'm really grateful to the class for their kindness and respect towards me and one another. 

We once again began our day with morning math, and then did a writing activity in which the students wrote in their journals about their summer vacations. At this point, most of the work we do is meant to review concepts learned in previous years so I can see if there are any areas we might need to revisit before moving into the Grade 3/4 content. So far it's looking pretty good.

We did some Calendar math and talked about upcoming September dates. We sketched some popular children's book characters and talked about various techniques for drawing faces, using shapes, and shading.
