The theme this week is "Bossy E", aka, "silent E", aka "Magic E". Basically E making a vowel earlier in the word make its long sound. I'm hoping that students will also start to see that the 'bossy e' isn;t always at the very end of the word - words like "piles", "based", and "graceful" demonstrate how a suffix often goes after the e.
